Ice bulletin for the St. Lawrence River and the Gulf from Les Escoumins to Cabot and Belle Isle Straits issued at 2100 UTC Friday, February 16, 2024 by Montreal Ice Centre of the Canadian Coast Guard. Next bulletin will be issued at 2100 UTC tomorrow.

Normal shipping routes are in effect from Les Escoumins to Cabot Strait and to Strait of Belle Isle, as well as along the Lower North Shore.

Les Escoumins to Cabot Strait
Open water from Les Escoumins to 6830W. Young and new ice from 6830W to 6653W. Mainly open water and ice free from 6700W to Cabot Strait.

Pointe-des-Monts to Strait of Belle Isle
Mainly new ice from Pointe-des-Monts to 6605W. Open water from 6605W to 5107N. Bergy water from 5107N to Belle-Isle Strait.
Strait of Belle-Isle is not recommended for shipping.
