Normal shipping routes are in effect from Les Escoumins to Cabot Strait and to Strait of Belle Isle, also along the Lower North Shore.

Pointe-des-Monts to Strait of Belle Isle
Mainly open water in the traffic separation scheme from Pointe-des-Monts to Strait of Belle Isle.

Lower North Shore from Sept-Īles to Blanc-Sablon within 10 NM of the shore
Young and new ice and open water
