Ice forecasts for the Great Lakes issued by Environment Canada at
12:00 p.m. EST Wednesday 14 February 2024 for today tonight and
Thursday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 12:00 p.m. Thursday.

Western Lake Superior.
Open water except 5 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths medium
lake ice along parts of the northwestern shore. Consolidated thick
lake ice in Black Bay. Consolidated medium lake ice in Nipigon Bay,
Chequamegon Bay, and eastern Thunder Bay.

Eastern Lake Superior.
Open water except 2 tenths new lake ice along parts of the shores.

Whitefish Bay.
1 tenth new lake ice except consolidated medium lake ice in most
bays.

Northern Lake Huron.
Open water except 1 tenth medium lake ice along the shore in the
northwestern section. Consolidated medium lake ice along parts of
the shores.

Southern Lake Huron.
Open water except 3 tenths medium lake ice in Saginaw Bay.

North Channel.
2 tenths medium lake ice except consolidated medium lake ice in the
extreme eastern and western sections.

Northern Georgian Bay.
Open water except 7 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths medium
lake ice near the northeastern shore. Consolidated medium lake ice
along the northeastern shore.

Southern Georgian Bay.
Open water except 2 tenths medium lake ice along parts of the
eastern shore. Consolidated medium lake ice along parts of the
eastern shore.

Lake St. Clair
Lake Erie
Western Lake Ontario.
Open water.

Eastern Lake Ontario.
Open water except consolidated medium lake ice in the Bay Of Quinte
and in a few sheltered bays in the northeastern section.

Green Bay.
1 tenth medium lake ice except 4 tenths medium lake ice south and
east of Chambers Island. Consolidated medium lake ice in Bays de
Noc.

Southern Lake Michigan.
Open water.

Northern Lake Michigan.
Open water except 5 tenths medium lake ice along the northern shore.
Consolidated medium lake ice along parts of the shore.
