Ice forecasts for the Great Lakes issued by Environment Canada at
12:00 p.m. EST Monday 22 January 2024 for today tonight and Tuesday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Western Lake Superior.
Open water except 9 tenths thin lake ice along parts of the southern
shore and in Thunder Bay. Consolidated thick lake ice in Black Bay
and consolidated medium lake ice in Nipigon Bay.

Eastern Lake Superior.
Open water except 9 tenths new lake ice including 4 tenths thin lake
ice along parts of the southern and eastern shores.

Whitefish Bay.
1 tenth thin lake ice except 9 tenths new lake ice including 4
tenths thin lake ice along parts of the shores. Consolidated thin
lake ice including 2 tenths medium lake ice in most bays.

Northern Lake Huron.
Open water except 7 tenths thin lake ice along parts of the shores.

Southern Lake Huron.
Open water except 9 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake
ice along parts of the shores. Consolidated thin lake ice in Saginaw
Bay.

North Channel.
7 tenths thin lake ice except consolidated thin lake ice including 2
tenths medium lake ice in most bays.

Northern Georgian Bay.
Open water except 9 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake
ice in the northeastern section. Consolidated thin lake ice
including 2 tenths medium lake ice along the northeastern shore.

Southern Georgian Bay.
Open water except 7 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake
ice along parts of the eastern shore. Consolidated thin lake ice
including 2 tenths medium lake ice in some bays.

Lake St. Clair.
9 tenths thin lake ice except consolidated thin lake ice in the
southeastern section.

Western Lake Erie.
3 tenths thin lake ice except 9 tenths thin lake ice in the western
section.

Eastern Lake Erie.
Open water except 9 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake
ice along parts of the shores. Consolidated thin lake ice in Long
Point Bay.

Western Lake Ontario.
Open water except 2 tenths new lake ice along parts of the shores.

Eastern Lake Ontario.
Open water except 3 tenths new lake ice including 1 tenth thin lake
ice along parts of the shores. Consolidated thin lake ice including
2 tenths medium lake ice in the Bay Of Quinte.

Northern Lake Michigan.
Open water except 9 tenths thin lake ice in and around the Straits
of Mackinac.

Southern Lake Michigan.
Open water except 9 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake
ice along parts of the shores.

Green Bay.
9 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake ice except
consolidated thin lake ice in Bays de Noc and southern Green Bay.
