Ice forecasts for the Great Lakes issued by Environment Canada at
12:00 p.m. EST Friday 30 December 2011 for today tonight and
Saturday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 12:00 p.m. Saturday.

Lake Superior.
Consolidated medium lake ice in Black Bay and Nipigon Bay. Open water
elsewhere except 3 tenths of new lake ice along parts of the shore
and 8 tenths of thin lake ice in Chequamegon Bay.

Whitefish Bay.
Open water except 6 tenths of new lake ice including 2 tenths of thin
lake ice along parts of the shore.

Lake Huron.
Open water except 6 tenths of new lake ice including 2 tenths of thin
lake ice in Saginaw Bay.

North Channel.
Open water except 6 tenths of new lake ice including 2 tenths of thin
lake ice in St. Marys River and along the shores.

Georgian Bay.
Open water except 5 tenths of new lake ice in some bays of the north
shore.

Lake St. Clair
Lake Erie
Lake Ontario.
Open water.

Northern Lake Michigan.
Ice free except 3 tenths of new lake ice along the northern shores
near the Straits of Mackinac.

Southern Lake Michigan.
Ice free.

Green Bay.
Ice free except 9 tenths of thin lake ice in the Bays de Noc. 7
tenths of new lake ice including 3 tenths of thin lake ice in
southern Green Bay south of Marinette.
