Environment Canada at 11:00 a.m. EDT Thursday 9 May 2013 for today
tonight and Friday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 11:00 a.m. Friday.

Ice edge estimated from 5800N 5700W to 6040N 5810W to 6240N 5740W
then northeastward. Sea ice west of the ice edge.

West Brevoort - southern half.
Ice pressure warning in effect.
9 tenths of new ice including 4 tenths of grey ice over the extreme
western section except 9 tenths of first-year ice including a trace
of old ice elsewhere. Strong ice pressure in the pack ice today
easing Friday morning.

West Brevoort - northern half.
Ice pressure warning in effect.
9 tenths of new ice including 4 tenths of grey ice in the extreme
northwestern section except 9 tenths of first-year ice including a
trace of old ice elsewhere. Strong ice pressure in the pack ice
easing this afternoon.

Central Brevoort - southern half.
1 tenth of first-year ice including a trace of old ice in the eastern
section except 5 tenths of first-year ice including a trace of old
ice in the western section.

Central Brevoort - northern half.
5 tenths of first-year ice including a trace of old ice in the
southeastern section except 9 tenths of first-year ice including a
trace of old ice in the northwestern section.

Northwest Labrador Sea - western half.
Ice pressure warning in effect.
7 tenths of first-year ice including a trace of old ice. Strong ice
pressure in the pack ice today and Friday in the northern section.
Strong ice pressure in the pack ice today easing tonight in the
southern section.

Northwest Labrador Sea - eastern half.
Bergy water except 3 tenths of first-year ice including a trace of
