Summary for June 1 to 14.
Average air temperatures have been near normal to below normal values over most of 
Hudson Bay area except for above normal over the southern Labrador coast and extreme 
southern James Bay.  Ice melt is generally 2-3 weeks earlier than normal. 

Weather forecast for June 16 to July 15.
Air temperatures are forecast to be near to below normal values over most of Hudson Bay 
and the Davis Strait area.  

Southern Labrador Coast.
June 16-20
	- 1-3 tenths first-year ice including a trace of old ice in the extreme northwestern section, 
	close to the Labrador coast.
	- Elsewhere, bergy water. 
June 21-July 15  
	- Bergy water.

Northern Labrador Coast.
June 16-23
	- 4-6 tenths first-year ice including a trace of old ice with areas of 7-8 tenths first-year ice 
	including a trace of old ice within 70-110 nautical miles of the coast in the northern 
	section.
	- Bergy water with patches of 1-3 tenths first-year ice including a trace of old ice within 15 
	nautical miles along the coast in the southern section.
	- Bergy water offshore.
June 24-30 
	- 1-3 tenths ice with patches of 4-6 tenths ice within 60 nautical miles of the coast in the 
	northwestern half. 
	- Bergy water in the southern half and further offshore.  
July 1-7
	- Bergy water with areas of 1-3 tenths ice within 60 nautical miles of the coast in the 
	extreme northwestern section.
	- Elsewhere, bergy water.			
July 8-15  
	- Ice melting completely to bergy water.

	- Consolidated first-year ice in western section and in shallow bays beginning to fracture.
	- 4-6 tenths first-year ice including a trace of old ice with areas of 7-8 tenths first-year ice 
	including a trace of old ice in the southeastern section.
	- Elsewhere bergy water with areas of 1-3 tenths first-year ice including a trace of old ice.

	- Consolidated ice continuing to fracture in the western section along parts of the coast.

	with areas of 4-6 tenths first-year ice.

	and the extreme western section.
	- A trace of old ice in the eastern section. 
	- Consolidated first-year ice continuing to fracture.
